Workshop: Rose Bouquet
We completed this bouquet for someone around Christmastime. I love the combination of pinks, purples, and reds. It turned out really pretty.
I’m on the hunt for a better vase to use in the future…I’m not even sure what I’m looking for exactly. What do you think would compliment (but not distract from) the roses?

Maybe you could wrap the vase in twine, or ribbon. Or tint some school glue with food coloring and paint the glass with it. The glue dries clear and you’re left with a subtle color.
China or pottery vases go nicely with roses, and don’t show the stems. These are lovely!
A narrow vase perhaps in milk glass? I made a pretty one for cheap once. Took an old glass and covered it with short pieces of masking tape and stained it with wood stain. Wiped it dry. It was wonderful!
Look outside vases. Troll the thrift shops for cheap, unique containers (like a big ceramic cowboy boot I saw in one once).
Or if you need something easily reproducable you could use metal watering cans as vases.
