We escaped winter without any major snowstorms, which is awesome because that means we didn’t have to buy Joe any Carharts (he works outside) and he didn’t have to miss any unpaid days from work! We actually didn’t get our first snowfall until the day before Valentine’s Day:

Speaking of Valentine’s Day, we worked hard to get all of our metal flower orders out in time! Joe lines his tools up perfectly before he begins working. Proof that we belong together! I had to laugh that his phone and the remote are considered tools.

We like to high five when we flop onto the couch in front of a movie to cut out pieces to make the flowers. It’s like we’re getting paid to watch TV.

A funky garden of metal stems drying.

A bunch of blooms drying.

A batch of reds, ready to be mailed in all directions!

Packaging up the last of our Valentine’s Day orders! Woohoo!

Thankfully, orders have continued to roll in since then. We were wondering if it was only a holiday rush, so we’ll see how long it lasts! We’re having fun with it though. Joe got to buy some new tools with his profits. Someday I know he’ll have his own workshop, but for now the living room is where all the action is.

A purple peony.

We’ve started hanging flowers to dry since the more we have to keep track of, the harder it is to keep the curious kitties out of the way. They stay safe hanging from the ceiling! So far. haha

Our first experiment with painting a tipped rose.

Khloe sitting on a perch Joe made for a tool that she thinks is specially made for her.

Newly modeling our giant frame full of orders, quotes, goals, marketing ideas, and gift ideas. I’m working on making this look a little cuter. The frame, not the kitty. He couldn’t get any cuter, even if I put a bow on him…

And lastly, this picture of Khloe helping me read up on boring business stuff. It must have helped though, because I just completed our personal & business taxes via TurboTax. It was my first time doing small business taxes and I was nervous about it. I have a free mentor through the Oklahoma Small Business Administration, and I ask him lots of dumb questions that he answers so graciously. We made it through tax season together and now that I’ve survived it, I know what to expect and how to be better prepared and organized next year. I’m looking into free websites like Outright and Shoeboxed, and I’ll do a review if I end up liking them!

I’m happy that the weather is warming up a bit. It’s still cool in the mornings, but it got up to 72 yesterday! I’ll end on this early morning frosty windshield picture that I took before church a couple weeks ago. He’s my hero.
